At KLA, the health, safety and wellbeing of our global employees and their families is our top priority. For over 20 years, the KLA Foundation has remained committed to aiding the communities in which our employees work and live. With the recent resurgence of the coronavirus outbreak in India, the Foundation is expanding its COVID-19 relief efforts in India with a donation of $550,000 to help combat the second wave of infections currently taxing the country’s healthcare system amidst a national vaccine shortage.
Creating Sustainable Change
The fund, announced earlier this month, is enabling healthcare facilities to procure much needed critical care equipment such as oxygen generators, syringe infusion pumps, beds and other medical supplies. Consistent to the Foundation’s commitment to providing support and resources for impactful and sustainable change, the donation will also fund a long-term community investment to build additional ICU capacity to address the needs of under-privileged communities in hospitals.
Stronger Together
Through the India COVID Relief Fund campaign established on our internal Global Giving Platform, KLA employees have made over $40,500 of personal donations so far, which will be matched by the company.
