KLA Foundation awarded more than $5 million in grants in 2023 to more than 250 organizations around the world where KLA employees work and live.
Foundation grants funded programs by nonprofits focused on increasing access to quality education with an emphasis on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), health and wellness, as well as those committed to making long-term change in communities where KLA has a presence. One major initiative was launching the KLA Education Equity Fund with an initial $1 million awarded to nonprofits that make catalytic change in communities and sectors with substantial need.
KLA Foundation’s employee gift-giving and volunteer initiatives during 2023 included:
- Matching more than $2.4 million in employee donations to over 2,000 global nonprofits
- Over 9,000 volunteer hours and more than $70,000 in donations through KLA Foundation’s Donations for Doers program, where employees can donate $10 per each hour of volunteer work they perform for a nonprofit of their choice
- The first annual KLA Foundation Global Volunteer Week, drawing approximately 1,000 employees to activities supporting youth in their communities
“At the KLA Foundation, we believe in a bright future and look forward to helping advance humanity and make a difference in our world during 2024,” says Jen Shea, executive director, KLA Foundation.
