KLA executives visited the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square, New York City, on Thursday June 16, 2022. Following a successful Investor Day event earlier the same day, Rick Wallace, president and chief executive officer of KLA, was joined by fellow executives, other members of the Investor Day team and virtually by hundreds of global employees for the Nasdaq closing bell ceremony that was simultaneously broadcast on the Nasdaq Tower in Times Square.
Bob McCooey, vice chairman of Nasdaq, extended a warm welcome to Rick Wallace and fellow members of the KLA team. He went on to say that KLA listed with Nasdaq 41 years ago and was added to the Nasdaq-100 when the index was first created in 1985. He added that after 32 years KLA is one of only seven, original, member companies that are still in the index today.
McCooey added, “KLA is among the largest semiconductor equipment companies in the world and has remained an industry leader by continuously innovating in a fast-paced environment. Your steadfast commitment to the KLA operating model, building high performance teams and becoming indispensable to your customers by delivering differentiated solutions has certainly served KLA well.”
